I love medieval designs and this wyvern was done using a chart by Nancy Spies. Who was inspired by - Illumination, map of the world, Psalter (London, British Library), 13th century.
I played with the colors on this piece. It's stitched on 32 count Irish Linen using DMC floss and Crescent Colours Hand Dyed Floss.

This is gorgeous! I'm quite familiar with that map, I believe! The colors are beautiful as well, I love the warm color scheme you chose. Even the greens have a certain warmth. I would love to be able to do something like this~ I would love to see some Norse designs from you~~
