I did not stitch this. This is a piece that my mother stitched back when I was about 6 year old. It took her a long time to finish and I can remember watching her sit and work on it.
It has been a big inspiration for me and I am currently trying to teach my self how to do crewel work. Which I am really enjoying even if it is frustrating at times, lol.
I grew up seeing this piece hang above her desk for as long as I can remember. My mom gave it to me the other day and I couldn't have received a more wonderful gift, one that I hope to pass on to my kids some day.
Its a large piece, it measures roughly 20 inches high by 22 inches in length.
Hand stitch with wool thread on natural linen. I believe that she used a kit for this.
